This bright beautiful one of a kind approx. 47 × 61 inch throw quilt is a “block sampler” in retro style print cotton fabrics. It was a “block of the month” project where Mary selected the fabrics and used the patterns to create the blocks.
This will make a wonderful gift or a warm throw for those chilly evenings.
All of Mary’s quilts are made to be used.
Mary made the top for this quilt back around 2018. We had planned to quilt it when we got the long arm in 2019. We quilted several gift and donation quilts (for other projects) and then that “thing” happened in 2020… We started building the studio 2021 and finished it in March 2023 and moved everything in… August of 2023, 100 foot tall oak tree fell on the studio (Facebook https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1EbeMRFDcL/ ). We moved every thing back out and completely rebuilt the studio from the ground up with improvements… and life goes on.

In early 2026 we started planning the BRDQ educational theme camp and “Desert Stream” art installation for 2027 Burning Man. Mary chose 23 “finished” but not quilted tops to donate to the project.
The proceeds from this quilt and every item on this site goes to support BRDQ and the art installation. Proceeds above our $20,000 goal, will carry over to future BRDQ projects.
Made from new cotton fabrics with and a 80/20 cotton/polyester batting.
Care Instructions: Wash in cold water with color catchers (it has not been washed). Dry on low or medium heat. It will shrink slightly and get the puffed and puckered look of an old fashioned quilt.
