I’m a quilter…I can’t make it to Black Rock City, but I want to participate…

Help us make quilt blocks!

A display of ten quilt blocks, each with different geometric patterns and colors, labeled from 1 to 10, with a heading indicating they represent the ten principles.

We need just 1,600 quilt blocks…lol…yup you read that right.

If you click the shop button you will find the free quilt block patterns to download.

Just place the ones you want (or all of them) in the shopping cart and check out. You will receive download instructions. THEY ARE FREE.

The instructions explain that we need these blocks to be 12 ½ inches unfinished, we require new fabrics (can be new fabric scraps) and solid colors only.

While we would love to reuse fabrics, “Desert Stream” is being displayed for at least 7 days in one of the harshest environments, so we have decided new fabrics will work best, and solid colors so that the streamers can be viewed from a distance.

Each block design represents a principle of Burning Man.

Please choose the block or blocks that speak to you. Choose your own solid colors. Make them your own.

We need about 160 of each block design. If we get more than that, even better.

Whether you make one or one hundred, every block helps.

You can mail them to the address at the bottom of every page on this site.

If you have questions or comments shoot us a message using the contact page or message us on Facebook.
